Double Talk

We poured a lot of our heart and our history into ‘I Go Back’, and symbols that represent significant pieces of our lives permeated the collections. We designed those symbols into a series of commemorative charms to celebrate this monumental milestone.

Buffalo Bill Cody is remembered for being the best showman in the Wild West, but he had a storied life long before he took to dazzling American and European audiences for a living.

The Cody collection has a frontier feel to it, that rugged-yet-romantic Wild West vibe, so we accessorized it a little differently than we would, say, an ultra-glam collection like Baron’s Ball.

In the little South Texas town of Blanco, there is a gem of a place called the Buggy Barn Museum, and its conjoining Pine Moore Town. This is where we brought Cody to life.

The conditions were decent, the wages were good, and above all, women were center stage. In terms of equality, Wild West shows were lightyears ahead of their time.

The Cody collection celebrates one of the most romantic eras in American history, and the colorful characters that made it so. On a wild weekend road trip to Wyoming, Cheryl laid eyes on a jacket that stopped her in her tracks, and her heart was lost to the Wild West in an instant.

In terms of entertainment, production, and overall execution, the Wild West Shows of the late 19th century were spectacular. And nobody did it better than William “Buffalo Bill” Cody.

These two-piece sets – pantsuits with attitude – have been stealing the show since Midnight Cowboy. Obviously, Cody had to have its own version with a Wild West twist. And the name “Dime Novel”? That’s a story in itself. (See what we did there?)
