WHERE TO HANG YOUR HAT FOR THE ADDICTION MEETUP

The 2025 Addiction Meetup is on its way! We are still in shock that the event sold out in basically a day, but it’s making us all the more excited to see everyone!

Those who have snagged their tickets are starting to sort out the logistics of their stay, and in case you missed the scoop, there is another BIG event going on at the same time this year just down the road in Gonzales, so for the first time ever, we’re having quite a bit of competition for the very limited lodging in town. Our customer service team has been fielding a lot of calls from ticketholders wondering where on earth they should stay, so we thought it might be helpful to compile a list of options to make it easier for everyone to decide and book.

Our top recommendations are both in Shiner, which is approximately 10 miles away.

If you’re looking for a single room situation, check out the Shiner Country Inn. It’s exactly what you’re picturing; a charming little country inn that’s cozy and clean. We love it, we’ve had friends and family stay there many times over the years. When we learned of the conflicting event, we went ahead and bought out a room block in good faith, knowing that our Addicts would love it, but we only have 9 rooms available, so if you want one, reach out to Kristen (kristen@ddranchwear.com) ASAP to secure it.

If you’re coming with a group, or interested in joining up with and getting to know some other fellow Addicts (which we 10/10 recommend, by the way – our Round Top glamping experience was the best!), secure a cottage at the Half Moon Empire. The property is gorgeous and the cottages are all a colorful, country-meets-modern aesthetic. There are 5 cottages and each sleeps up to 6 people, so it is the perfect setup for a gals getaway. We have first dibs on them for a limited time, so let the team at Half Moon Empire know if you want to reserve a cottage.

We’ve sorted the remainder of the options by location – none of these places are too-too far away, we promise! Some are traditional lodging (i.e. hotels and motels) and, by request, some are RV park accommodations.
