An East Coast equestrian rides into a Western rodeo…
It’s not the start of a barroom joke, but it is the starting point of the aesthetic for this collection. Inspired by equines and tack, English riders and rodeo royalty, and one untouchable trapunto scene that made an indelible impact, Nu Rodeo is a delicate design dance unlike anything we’ve ever done before. The hues are earthy and grounded, balanced with soft sky blues. The imagery is traditional with detailed depictions of horses, accents of tack, and an exquisite paint pony-inspired animal print. We’re debuting a demure glen plaid with a touch of twang, we’re featuring silhouettes of full-volume skirts and sleeves, and we’re reintroducing an emphasis on the waist.
There’s an undercurrent of effortless elegance, of poise and polish and strong femininity. It's giving old money and Western grit.
