You gals never cease to amaze us! When we issue a challenge – especially a competition – we can always count on our amazing Addicts to show up and show off, but you ladies (and a couple guys!) exceeded our expectations by miles and miles this time.

In advance of our upcoming 35th anniversary (it feels impossible that we’ve been at this for three-and-a-half decades already), we invited y’all to get in on the fun.

“Well, it’s hardly a celebration if you don’t share it with someone, right?” laughed Audrey. “I mean, you guys are the reason Double D exists, so OF COURSE we want y’all to be a part of toasting to 35 years. Plus, we just like to see y’all all dressed up!”

At the beginning of June, we commenced DDR35: 35 Days of Style for 35 Years of Design, encouraging everyone to wear-and-share their Double D for 35 days which earned an entry to the gift card drawing for each day they participated – and a bonus 10 entries if they posted a photo or video for all 35.

“We expected a couple dozen people, probably, over the course of the month,” Cheryl said. “There were a few we were pretty confident we could count on to embrace it – certainly Heather Burch, who kind of inspired this idea with her 365 days of DDR last year – but we never dreamed we’d get the kind of participation we did. We were thrilled! It’s been so much fun to watch, not only the outfits, but the creativity of everyone’s content.”

Y’all. We had 215 different participants and more than 5200 entries! Some throwbacks, some currents, and some pretty hilarious sketches, like Heather Burch’s spreading the Good Word about Double D Ranch.

“I was in our pool with my daughter, and we were talking about creative videos I wanted to do for this challenge,” Heather said. “I said I wish I could do one like the one I ended up posting, and fortunately, I raised my kids, Harleigh and Tyger, to just go with the flow. So when Harleigh said, ‘I’m down!’, we instantly got out of the pool & Warren shot the video! After that, I just thought ‘How can I improve on these posts instead of Warren just taking a photo of me outside?’ and it was GAME ON after that!”

We had to ask, after having already done it for whole year, if Warren rolled his eyes at another 35 days of DDR photoshoots. “Yes, he rolled his eyes,” she laughed. “However, he would ask every day, ‘What type of post are you gonna do today?’ And a few times I showed him my idea for the day, and his response would be ‘I think we can do better!’, which meant I could amp things up a bit.” You’ve gotta love a good sport!

Another of our everyday-ers was Riley Tacquard, who embraced DDR35 as not only an opportunity for outfits, but to challenge herself to a new skillset.

“I felt inspired to lock into the 35 days because I love playing dress up in my new custom closet, and was excited to see what I could pull together from my wardrobe,” Riley said. “But I also wanted to learn video editing software. I had been making videos for some time now and just procrastinating on learning to edit, so this gave me the motivation I needed! I mean, I get to dress up in my favorite brand, be creative, and learn new skills – and possibly win a big prize! It’s a win-win already, even if I don’t win. I was a professional photographer for over 12 years, so doing this type of creative stuff lights me up! It was fun!”

Liz Lindemann, another Addict who completed the full 35 days, saw it as less of a competition and more as a celebration of the sisterhood, and she used her posts to showcase her style in some significant settings.

“Gift cards at your favorite clothier can be very motivating, but really, it was about doing a challenge together, with my fellow sisters,” Liz shared. “It was so thrilling to see what each of us was wearing for the day, or in the past! As the days went on, I started planning interesting locations that were meaningful to me. I also began sharing the history of the location (my inner-tour guide and historian revealed) all to make the picture of the day more fun to my viewers! Sharing these beautiful clothes at interesting locations on my personal pages (FB and Insta) was at first intimidating, but in the end, this challenge got me out of my comfort zone, and I had a blast!”

If you followed Renee Davis’ 35-day journey, you were likely touched by her well-worded posts that shared sentiment as well as style, with a really humanized perspective that truly made you feel like you were on this journey with her.

“The day almost got away from me again,” Renee shared on Day 33. “And I almost didn’t make it, but my commitment doesn’t waver when it comes to showing up for the things that bring me joy. This 35 Days of DDR challenge has been a reminder to carve out time for myself—even in the chaos. It’s not just about the clothes, it’s about the confidence, the connection, and the creative spark it reignites in me.”

See what we mean about never ceasing to amaze us? Y’all took a social media challenge and elevated it into something so much more meaningful – it’s so inspiring the way our Wolf Pack embraces everything with this attitude of opportunity. You ladies are living life right.

It was a competition intended for y’all, but in the end, it feels like we were the biggest winners of all! It truly felt like a celebration of the brand, and it was a beautiful reminder of why we do this; we felt all the love we pour into Double D Ranch being poured right back into our cup, and it runneth over.

Cheers to all of you, and cheers to 35 years!
