Picture it: a warm day in Round Top during the bustling spring show, and a McMullen sister on a mission to fill her design archive with all the inspiration she could find. While browsing booth to booth, from the corner of her eye, she spots a serape that stops her in her tracks. It’s not part of the vendor’s wares, but part of the display. The color combination is as delicious as saltwater taffy, and it just looks like springtime in fabric form – she simply has to have it to share with the design team. Unfortunately, she’s met with “I’m so sorry, it’s not for sale.”
Slightly discouraged but not remotely dissuaded, Cheryl begins to do a polite-but-persuasive bit of begging and bartering until she offered an amount that felt more than fair, and “that vendor couldn’t get that cloth off the table fast enough!”
We took it back to the team and reimagined it into our own version, and it is undeniably a standout of this season. We’re happy, that vendor’s happy, we’re pretty confident that you’re going to be happy – what could be more of a win-win?

This is most definitely my favorite color combination. It satisfies my taste for something a little different. And the story makes it even better.
