The vibe for this collection was to celebrate the country’s semiquincentennial (or 250th birthday) and, as always, our longtime stylist Lisa Martensen delivered – a perfectly patriotic, all-American look. Here’s how she made our models up to be red, white, and beautiful.

“Aim for smooth even coverage. Not totally overdone, just effortlessly improved. Face Atelier is great for creating that almost airbrushed look. Also, avoid too much powder – you don’t want to create a caked-on effect. I finished this look with a Laura Mercier translucent powder that helps set it without really changing the appearance.”

“Oh, the same as I always say – just fill them in with a matte brown shadow. Soft, furry, and filled-in. It doesn’t need to be dramatic to make an impact. Aim for one shade darker than your natural brow.”

“Unfortunately, this eye shadow palette isn’t sold anymore, but I used a Lid Neon’s #5 pale aqua matte hue, and then added the Magic Luminizer to the lids for a glow.”

“RMS is usually my go-to for blush and this one is somewhere between a true red and poppy that just gives that pop of color and youthfulness. I dabbed a little of the Magic Luminizer on the cheekbones as well.”

“Of course we needed a bold red lip for a patriotic collection! I think MAC makes a great, silky red lipstick, so I used that for the color and lined it with my go-to Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat.”
