The event itself was intentionally exclusive, with a focus on making it feel intimate, but the conversation with Donna was so insightful and inspiring, we simply had to share it.

“Like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago,” Cheryl explained. “We wanted to come up with a way that our audience could engage with Donna [Howell-Sickles], outside of a typical meet-and-greet at the store. Not to say we don’t enjoy those in some instances, but we’ve found they tend to lend themselves more to small talk, rather than really getting to know the guest of honor. With the Cowgirl Rising LIVE event, we had the runway show and the dinner to kind of break the ice and get everyone feeling comfortable and conversational, and then we did the Q&A over dessert, where Donna was so candid and open and articulate about her art, her journey, even her struggles – I think everyone in the room left feeling like they knew her, and that was the goal. And I think she enjoyed it, too! It was a delightful evening for everyone involved.”
