Does Ft. Worth ever cross your mind? Well, if you’re a fan of Western wear and lifestyle brand, Double D Ranch, it’s about to. That’s right, ‘Western Couture’s First Family’ is moving into Mule Alley.

The luxury label’s flagship store will be located at 128 E. Exchange Ave, in Fort Worth’s famed Stockyards District, with an anticipated opening date of Summer 2022.

“I can’t tell you how excited we are to be ‘hanging our hats’, so to speak, in Fort Worth,” said Double D Ranch CEO Audrey Franz. “As a company, we’ve been growing and evolving over the last 30 years, so a flagship store seems like a natural next step.”

“I don’t know that there’s a city on earth that’s more cohesive with our brand, our aesthetic, our genuine lifestyle, than Fort Worth, Texas,” added Hedy Carter, DDR’s Director of Production.

Double D Ranch apparel is (and will still be) available in their hundreds of retail partners throughout the country, including Fort Worth sartorial staple, Maverick Fine Western Wear, just down the street.

“Double D Ranch is not new to Fort Worth by any means,” explained DDR Designer and Creative Director Cheryl McMullen. “The Maverick is an institution in this town, and they’ve done a remarkable job representing the brand, and Hotel Drover has long had their staff dress in DDR as part of their uniform, so we’ve always had a presence in Fort Worth, but now we have a home here.”

The brand’s new brick-and-mortar will feature current merchandise – apparel, hats, and boots – as well as offer some unique vintage jewelry and serve as a place for folks to shop the new furniture collection. Fret not, DDR’s Yoakum showroom – lovingly termed “The Mothership” – isn’t going anywhere.

“The Mothership is our home,” said Franz. “It’s our headquarters, where we live and work as a family and a team. The Yoakum showroom has a welcoming intimacy to it, like inviting old friends into your living room – or more accurately, closet – and that will always be there. The Fort Worth location is more of an endeavor, an extension of the brand, an upscale experience that is really enhanced by the atmosphere of the Stockyards.”

There is much buzz and excitement around the fashion powerhouse’s migration to the metroplex, but that’s not the only emotion associated with the announcement.

“I’m extremely proud,” said Margie McMullen, matriarch and owner of Double D Ranch. “I think everyone hopes for their children to thrive but getting to watch my girls do it together is the most unbelievable feeling. These three are relentless workers and inspired visionaries, I can’t wait to see what they do with the space in Fort Worth.”

Keep up with the progress being made on the new storefront via the Double Talk blog on DoubleDRanch.com or by following Double D Ranch on social media.

~ I am so very happy for y’all. The very first time I visited the Lone Star state was in 1995 (in Dallas) for the annual Mary Kay Seminar. I’ve been to Dallas (but not Fort Worth) many times since then and love it. Texas has become my “adopted state;” the people very friendly. Been following DDR since 2012. How exciting that my favorite brand gets their own flagship store. Congratulations once again. ~

So looking forward to the new store. We live about 40 minutes from the Stock Yards and shop the Maverick often. How exciting for the Fort Worth Stock Yard to get this unique jewel in their crown. People will come from afar to shop this experience!
