  • Easy Rider

    October 12, 2010 1 min read 2 Comments

Easy Rider is rooted in the rich history of American bikers, beginning with the bike gang subculture which emerged in the late 40s and early 50s, and moving through the following decades as fascination with these tough outlaws inspired classic films and iconic brands.
    .
Today's acolyte of the Easy Rider trend leans more toward a rock-influenced version, a mix of greaser denim, punk leather and heavy metal hardware for a no frills, forceful masculinity. This Easy Rider is an edgy but accessible blend of biker, hard rock/hippie and grunge that still maintains a hint of danger but now it is only style, not substance.

Hey, man all we represent to them, man, is somebody who needs a haircut. - Billy (Easy Rider)

Be sure to catch tomorrow's follow up post with Double D Ranch's Easy Rider Jacket and see how we see the biker/grunge/hippie/rocker trend.
