  • It Was Just Yesterday...

    May 19, 2010 1 min read 20 Comments

It was just yesterday that I hurriedly left the classroom and rushed to my car so no one would see me crying.

. I had taken Jack to his first day of kindergarten and gotten him all seated and settled with his "big boy" school supplies stowed away.  I think I ran over about five mothers as I ducked my head and darted from the schoolroom before the floodgates opened. I sat alone in my car and cried. I told myself, he would be graduating before I knew it...
...and sure enough, before I knew it...
    . .
    I'm crying again.

My five year-old, Finn, finished his last day of preschool today…I can’t quite imagine him graduating from high school yet, but thank you for the heartfelt reminder to enjoy every minute! Boys RULE!

This made me tear up…and my kids are 2 and 6 months. Time does fly…my girl is already asking when she can go to school. Our babies will always be our babies even when we can’t hold them in our laps anymore…

Congratulations Jack! Cheryl, I feel your pain. On the Boys Rule well I wouldnt know about that one as GIRLS RULE in the Loredo household. Maybe I should have a “boy” to see if they do rule. (LOL!)

Trophy Wife- my best advice is to hug them and tell them you love them EVERYDAY and EVERY chance you get! They are blessings and gifts from God and only under our wing for a short time. love you! -C

    Cheryl,
Just reading this made me get choked up! I know the feeling a little just picturing Kathryn and Walker going into High School this fall.
Jack is so handsome, smart and generous. Where ever he goes he will be a success….because of you and your wonderful family!! P.S. What a great Picture!

It has been such a blessing to have been able to spend so much time with Jack these last few years. He is a remarkable young man and I will miss him just one hair less than his momma!
