The Japanese don't take this change of scenery for granted, they celebrate it with Hanami Festivals -- which literally translates to 'flower watching.'.
Here at the ranch, we also celebrate spring and the homecoming of Texas wildflowers. I don't think there is a more beautiful place than Texas in the spring. Perhaps I'm a bit partial (maybe just a bit), but I believe God likes to flex his muscles here in Texas in the spring. How can you beat acres and acres of wildflowers with bright, blue skies for backgrounds?
I think it is God's way of showing off.
However you welcome spring, do it in 'Culture Clash' style with Double D Ranch'Tokyo Soul Shirt ... it's a nice mix of East meets West with cherry blossom embroidery on a very 'Texas' silhouette.
Speaking of showing off...I have to show off what my nephew Taylor is up to. Over spring break he built a new barn for his broodmares. He finished just in time for his first foal.
Isn't he something?.

Kathleen, Taylor has really worked hard on the barn and has had a tough first season with his mommas. He lost one foal two weeks ago and took it pretty hard for big ’ol guy. He is still putting on the finishing touches and we are talking about doing our Easter egg hunt out there. If so, of course I would love to share the pics! Have a great Easter and thanks for your comment.

The barn is nice and will make all of our chores easier.
We have 3 mares who have foaled this month, March,
and we are awaiting the arrival of another colt any day now. We did have one born a little too early and complications of birthing caused his death. We are now
busy breeding all 6 of the mares and trying to finish the
barn. We are also getting one colt ready for a sale in late July in Houston. Maybe I will see you then?!
