Chip inlay uses crushed turquoise or coral stones mixed with resin to fill the recesses of the sterling silver piece. After the inlay has hardened the piece is polished smooth.
This chip inlay ring is handcrafted by Tommy Singer, the Navajo silversmith famous for inventing the chip inlay technique. Crushed turquoise stones are fashioned into the iconic peyote bird design and surrounded by additional stamp work to add beauty and balance of the piece.
