Well, we did it. We got the Shop at Round Top up and running – and boy, do we mean running. Like, hit the ground running. In the last couple weeks, we have had a whole whirlwind of a time making ourselves at home in The Halles and taking root in that charming little town.

Here’s a small little snapshot of what we’ve been up to:

We got to see and be seen at the Southern C Retreat. This was our sneak-peek super-soft opening at the end of September as we were just getting settled in, and wow! What a way to kick off our new concept in a sea of truly exceptional, inspiring, and impeccably stylish women!

We officially opened our doors on October 12th, in conjunction with the annual Fall Market Days. For starters, let us just say we’ve been so blessed by our DDR devotees – sending their love in the form of sweet texts and flowers, and even better stopping on by to support the new store! Not only have we gotten to see several familiar faces, but also a whole exciting slew of fresh ones – and even a few famous ones! (Y’all saw Presley with Arch Manning’s mom, right? Hook ‘em!)

We dove right in to being the new kid on the block, jumping feet first into the festivities like the Round Top Red Carpet Fashion Show at The 550 Market with Rockabilly. Let me tell ya, a time was had! It was such an exciting opportunity to show off a little DDR alongside some of the veteran shops, and just an honor to be a part this annual tradition. We also got to be a part of The Halles fashion show, Late Night Luxe, which was another fun way to showcase some Double D and support our neighbors, as we all had vendor tables for shoppers to browse.

There have been some growing pains (of course, as is to be expected) as we get in a groove and figure out the rhythm of Round Top/our own pace as a ‘permanent pop-up’ here. It’s different than the buzzing behind-the-scenes bustle of the headquarters in Yoakum or the built-in flow of foot traffic in Fort Worth, but it feels like we’re nestling in nicely, and we sure think we’re gonna like it here!
