Who says a suit has to be stuffy? We’ve taken the power suit and given it a playful punch.

“I think this will turn out to be one of the defining sets of Atomic Ranch,” Cheryl said. “The Rag Proper pieces, that jacket and pant, really embody what this collection is about and what we were trying to achieve – very modern on-trend elements, but with an undeniably retro vibe.”

Matching sets have been having a major moment for a little while now, from cute little short sets to jackets and skirts, or like this daring duo, a power pantsuit. By creating the Rag Proper in both a pant and a jacket, it fits that bill and makes for a super-cute pairing, but also lends itself to some versatility to be worn as separates as well.

“I think people will find more wearability in the Rag Proper than they can imagine,” said Cheryl. “The pants serve almost as a classic neutral, and they’re really easy to wear. I mean, I love them paired with something as simple as a white tank or tee, a denim workshirt would be cute, too. Of course, we styled them with a cute peewee boot, but you could easily dress them up with a heel or wedge. And the jacket, too – since it’s that good almost-black-brown, it works as a blazer vibe but is also about as versatile as a jean jacket. They’re just really strong staples that will work in your wardrobe for a long time.”

While modern retro may seem like an oxymoron, you have to admit – it just works. It’s fashionably fun and seriously chic.
