When it came time to style our models for Wildcatter, our talented artist Lisa Martensen channeled the best of the West…. Texas, that is.

    THE WILDCATTER MAKE-UP TUTORIAL

    First and foremost: Sunscreen!

An SPF should be an always and everyday thing, but especially if you plan to spend long days in the harsh West Texas summer sun.

Lisa’s pick: Neutrogena Drytouch SPF 55

    Moisturizer, moisturize, moisturize!

If you’ve never spent much time in West Texas, it is dryyyy. I mean, dryer than dry. Moisturizer may be the most important item in every cosmetic case west of Fort Worth.

    Lisa’s pick: Embryolisse

    Matte Your Eyes

Wildcatter has a hard-working vibe to it, so a strong or glitzy eye would be very out of place. Instead, a brush a little khaki matte shadow on your lids and feather a little on the under-eye for a soft, subtle effect.

    Lisa’s pick: MAC Omega

Pro Tip: Skip the mascara! We know, we know… it’s your cosmetic security blanket. But trust us, bare lashes are very high-fashion and can really elevate your fresh-faced look.

    Double Duty

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: If you’re after that DDR look, get you some RMS Lip & Cheek Cream in Demure! It’s our go-to for a lovely face that’s not in your face. And the best part, it’s two in one! You can smooth some on your lips, dab a little on your cheeks and you’re good to go.

Pro Tip: Lisa likes to top it off with a quick swipe of RMS Magic Illuminator on the cheeks. “It leaves the finest of metallic glows without looking over-the-top.”

    Big & Bold

You’ve kept your face simple-chic, so don’t be afraid to go big with your hair -- “Looking over some of the amazing Wildcatter collection, I noticed some late ‘70s silhouettes; I think I might of been channeling a little Bud and Sissy with West Texas hair.” -- and bold with your brow. “A good brow is the beautiful frame on a piece of art! Brows are so important, even when doing a natural look you can tweak the shape.”
