When we first dubbed our little stylish sisterhood “The Wolf Pack”, we used the term a lot and the origin story was pretty well known amongst the DDR Addicts and those who became official members. But that’s been a few years ago now, and by the grace of God and some serious social media-ing, the Addiction group has grown by leaps and bounds lately, and we realized recently that a lot of newcomers may not really know what the Wolf Pack is, what it’s all about, or even how to join.
“You know, it was wild. This summer at the Addiction Meetup, I overheard a gal ask, ‘Wait, what’s the Wolf Pack?’,” Cheryl recalled. “Which blew my mind, because – THIS! It’s this! It’s this community of amazing women who love this look and this lifestyle, who support each other and show up in style and so much more. But that’s when it occurred to me that we’ve kind of been taking the concept for granted, taking it as a given that Addicts knew about it. Maybe it’s time we bring it back to the forefront, shine a little light on it.”
This family-oriented company was started by some strong-willed sisters nearly 35 years ago, back when they were wide-eyed dreamers still a little wet behind the ears, with big ideas and bigger personalities. But whether it was their competitiveness or their conviction, nothing was going to stand in their way -- and more importantly, nothing was going to come in between or take precedence over family. They’re tough, loyal, and protective, and thus, the McMullens earned the tongue-in-cheek moniker “a pack of wolves”, and it became a badge of honor.
Then, organically, we started ‘adopting’ people into our Wolf Pack – our retailers and our regulars who started to feel like family.
“Our Wolf Pack has really been in the making for decades,” Cheryl explained. “But I think it was really cemented, really became a community, when we created the Double D Addiction Facebook group. That’s when not only were we connecting directly with our customers and our wholesalers, but we were connecting them with each other. I think that’s when the Wolf Pack as we now know it was born, and it took on a life of its own! We really can’t even take credit for it; these women built it.”
Anyone and everyone who shares a love for Double D Ranch and everything it has come to represent – the look, the lifestyle, the ladies, the whole shebang. They come from all over the world, all walks of life, and they span generations. From the first-time buyer to the lifelong collector with a closet full of vintage DDR, and even those aspirational Addicts working their way to that must-have investment piece, everyone with an appreciation for the aesthetic and southwestern style is welcome in our Wolf Pack. The only real rule is that you’ve gotta mind the mantra: Play nice. Be free.
Oh, it’s so easy. Buy the original Wolf Pack charm, that’s it! You’ll be assigned a # (if you have a strong preference for a specific number, feel free to ask if it’s available!) that will be stamped on the back of that charm, and if you wish, on any other charm you purchase. You can have Cheryl inscribe it in your jacket during jacket signing sessions, you can have it chain-stitched on your bag or bandana, you can flaunt it just about any way you want!
Nope! In fact, we want to be clear that you don’t even have to buy a ticket to come to the Meetup! The annual Addiction Meetup every July is a 4-day event of sales and celebrations, and it’s open to anyone and everyone who feels like stopping by. Tickets are ONLY required for the extra-curricular events – which we strongly encourage everyone to attend, because they’re super fun – but you can ALWAYS come the Mothership without a ticket.

I have worn Double D jackets all over the world. Mu deceased husband was thr ambassador to Great Britain and state rep in Texas. Wherever I go people live my jackets including Princess Anne at Harrod in London ehrn I met her. I buy a new jacket every year. I have 16 jackers now.I usually buy them at Michelles in Ruiidoso New Mexico.
