This is something we’ve talked about doing for a couple years now, and for a multitude of reasons spanning from logistics to travel conflicts to technical difficulties, we’ve just not been able to make it happen until now. It’s long overdue and truly just the tiniest tip of the iceberg in terms of how much our mother means to us and how absolutely integral she is to the women – and mothers – we’ve become. If you know Nana at all, you know she’s an angel among us; compassionate, kind, generous, and welcoming, with unwavering faith and seemingly endless patience. To this day, she’s still who we turn to for guidance, support, or a bit of perspective when things get tough. She is admired by her daughters, adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and beloved by so, so many. Everyone has a different definition of what makes a mother, but in our eyes, Margie McMullen set the bar – and she set it high.
