Even at a glance, it’s evident that blue is key to the color palette of the collection.

“Blue was always the vision for Wash House,” explained Cheryl. “Even down to the filter of the photoshoot, because, as strange as it may sound, it’s kind of the lens-tint through which I view the memories of that era. We grounded those hues with rich browns and supplemented them with warm whites; it’s an overall easy-to-love, soothing palette.”
The blues are softened rather than saturated, alluding to being faded. They’re light, lovely, less intense and bold than the colors we’ve seen in the previous collections. Even the deeper indigos have a desaturated presentation, as if they might’ve had a previous life. They evoke a comforting calm and sense of nostalgia.
The browns are alluring in that they’re almost black, and that’s intentional. These deep “bronco” browns are easily mistaken (and, pro tip: often interchangeable) as black and are designed to portray the fading that we’d have found within the Wash House trunk.

Your designs and prints are beautiful. However, the short boxy shapes of many of the current tops to me are only for young girls are very thin women. I hope soon you will have more fitted choices. I would a lot of your clientele are older as your price point is higher. I have purchased Double D Ranch pieces since I first found your brand in a high end boutique about 12 years ago. However, I find fewer pieces interest me because of the loose boxy fit. Maybe that is vogue currently but I don’t think those pieces will be pieces years from now people will want to keep. All of my pieces of Double D I own are timeless because of a classic fit.
