We catwalked our little hearts out this week! DDR was featured in FOUR different fashion shows this week during our first-ever Round Top Spring Market! We are grateful for our DDR gals that were able to attend a few, but of course, no one was able to be at all of them – heck, WE were barely able to show up to them all – so here’s a quick recap and some stellar photos to relive all the runways!

“Our team is absolutely unrivaled,” shared Cheryl. “Agreeing to four fashion shows in a week was probably insane – not to mention, with BINGO right in the middle – but everyone showed up and stayed focused right until the bitter end! They’re remarkable workers and they have my endless gratitude for their dedication the past several days. I think we’d probably all like to sleep for a week now, but wow, was it worth it.”

This was our kickoff, our first foray into Round Top Spring Market fashion shows, and it was very cool. It took place at 303 right in front of Worn and Weathered, the whole theme of the event was “How The West Was Worn” – which of course is clever and cool and right up our alley! Cheryl was interviewed on stage, asking what advice she’d dole out to a young creator/designer just starting out, and she offered up some words of wisdom we could all use, “Stay true to yourself. It’s tempting to be influenced by other things and other people, but when you stay true to you – that ALWAYS works.”

Our second show, Cowboy Couture, was a different vibe which was also very fun. A little more artsy and eclectic and just the most charming ambiance, as all the models walked through Henkel Square under strings of lights. Each model had a different look and we might’ve even suck a few sneak peeks from the summer collection in there! This was also the show that was in conjunction with renowned artist Laura Goodson, who custom painted a piece from each contributing designer. Ours was a Done & Dusted Jacket that she totally transformed – and now the truly one-of-a-kind piece is for sale! And when it does, we’ll donate $500 back to Laura’s charity of choice!

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26TH – The 550 Market Fashion Show

If you’re familiar with the Round Top markets, you know the 550 Market Fashion Show is always going to be a good one. We saw some familiar faces and met a lot of new. For this one, we took a whole different, show-stopping approach and styled the models in stunning biker jackets paired with vintage chaps, cool sunglasses and classic cowboy hats. They walked out in a V with smoke behind them – it was a whole MOMENT! #chills

Our final fashion show had a whole different feel – very intimate, very much an homage to the way they were done way back when. It took place at Festival Hill in the Menke House, which is a historic old home that really made it feel like a runway show of yesteryears – but of course, with a modern spin. Cheryl styled things to fit that feel and really played into the distinct “DDR Round Top” look, pulling vintage and collection pieces together, and had the models all carry vintage props from a classic mail carrier bag to a stuffed fox!
