Well, gals, it was another fun weekend in Fort Worth! Who doesn’t love playing dress up in jewelry? If you’ve missed out on the fun so far, we have ONE more week left of Rodeo Roundup.

This past weekend, we brought a whole new level of glam to the DDR flagship store: diamonds!

“It’s hard to put these pieces into words,” said Cheryl. “Traditionally, turquoise is set in silver, that’s just the way turquoise jewelry originated, so seeing it in gold and set with diamonds is so – I don’t even know what the right word is – groundbreaking? It’s such a bold, fresh look, and I personally can’t get enough of it. Truth be told, as much of a jewelry connoisseur as I am, I’ve never been all that dazzled by diamonds on their own – I would take a squash blossom over a tennis bracelet every day of the week – but the way they come together in these handcrafted settings and combine with vintage pieces is incredible. It’s impossible to describe, you just have to see it.”

Lots of you ladies did get to see it this weekend during the trunk show of sparkles and stones, but if you didn’t get to take a foray to Fort Worth, but think that one of these one-of-a-kind finds might have a home in your jewelry box, let us know – we’re happy to host a virtual viewing with you over Zoom!

“I’m really serious about this collection of jewelry, I want to show it to everyone!” Cheryl laughed. “I probably would’ve Facebook Live’d the whole trunk show if I could’ve. And Audrey said I can’t say anything, but I’ll say this: if I have my way, this is just the beginning.”

And we still have one more week of our Double D Ranch Rodeo Roundup series of events! February 2nd through 4th, we will once again have the lovely and very talented Julie Asher in the store. Some of you got to meet her at the first showcase a couple weeks ago, but several more of you gals expressed interest in her artwork, in commissioning pieces, and in meeting her, so we’re bringing her back to help us wrap up the event series. You can join us for the kickoff on Thursday from 4-7 and hang out with the DDR crew, sip craft cocktails from Blackland Distillery, shop the latest collection, and meet with Julie about whatever you’re envisioning – whether it’s artwork or embellishing your Turquoise Travel Series!
