MISMATCHED MUDCAT

We never thought we’d be talking swamp and style in the same sentence, but as it turns out, we might’ve just explored one of our favorite genres yet.

Among the characters we ‘created’ for this collection is the born-and-bred bayou boy who is so unconcerned with trends that he becomes the trendsetter himself. And that’s where we got to have a little fun with it. We imagined a true man of the land, gathering garments everywhere he goes: a plaid blazer he found in a hunting shack, denim he’s owned for a decade, pieced-together leathers and furs and croc skins he trapped himself.

Visualize all of your favorite garments. Now imagine wearing them all at once. That’s kind of the essence of our “mismatched mudcat”. A blazer on top of a leather jacket on top of a pearl snap? Sure. A plaid, a solid, a gingham, and a rug print all at once? Absolutely. Polished on top, distressed on bottom? Perfect. Multiple belts, tiny sunglasses, and a pocket watch just for fun? Aces. There’s a bit of a Mad Hatter vibe to it; none of it should make sense together, but it just… does. Not only does it work, but it also works to a degree that it actually makes you the most fashion-forward person in the room.

Listen, we’re not saying you need to take it to the extreme… but we’re also not NOT saying that.
