This time next week, we’ll all be on the sleepy side of the best event of the year – with full closets and even fuller hearts! As y’all know, this is by far our biggest Addiction Meetup ever, so while some of y’all are old hat at this by now, we have a lot of first-timers on the guest list this year that may not have any idea what to expect. There’s really no way to put the experience into words, but we can perhaps give you an overview and answer a few FAQs that might help you feel more prepared!

First and foremost, we want to remind everyone that YOU DO NOT NEED A TICKET TO COME AND SHOP THE SALE! The tickets provide you lunch each day and access to the evening events – and of course, a swag bag – but anyone is welcome to come to the Mothership during the day!

Q: What do I do when I arrive?

A: Come check in at the Mothership at 509 Lott Street. One of our lovely team members will get you all checked in and provide you with your nametag lanyard and your swag bag!

    Q: Where should I park?

A: Great question! With attendance being as large as it is this year, parking will be a bit trickier. There will be limited street parking near the Mothership at 122 W. Grand Ave, an additional customer lot near the store at 519 Lott Street, and we have also procured the lot at the Yoakum Community Center (105 Huck Street) for free parking during the event and will provide golf cart transportation from the lot to the Mothership.

Everyone enjoying a night of fun!
Q: What if I don’t have something to fit each day’s theme?

A: Well, get some! (Just kidding!) As far as each day’s outfit themes, that’s all in fun – and it coordinates to our décor – it’s not a “dress code” by any means. If you feel like wearing some of your other DDR, go for it! You’ll see people in all combinations of things. Also, there has definitely been some confusion about Friday’s “Black Gold Glam”, and in hindsight, we can see why. We called it that as a play on “black gold” as the slang term for oil since it’s our Roughneck Rodeo day, not as a black and gold color code. You can wear anything from your Roughneck Rodeo wardrobe – or anything else you want, for that matter. NOTE: A lot of gals go off-script for the Friday night dinner and dance. It’s kind of a “your time to shine” night where people show off their very favorite DDR pieces, whether current or vintage or anywhere in between!

Q: Do I need to pack different outfits for daytime and night events?

A: That’s totally up to you; a lot of people change in between and some people don’t. We will say, however, that it’s going to be hot in Yoakum that week, and as much as we’ll be blasting the AC, you might still break a sweat, so you might enjoy yourself more in a fresh outfit for the evening. (And who doesn’t love an excuse to show off a little extra DDR?)

Q: Can I bring a date to dinner?

A: Only if they have a ticket. Unfortunately, the logistics are planned to a T, and we simply can’t accommodate unexpected attendees. They’re welcome to come shop with you during the day, though!

Q: What are some things I need to be SURE I pack for the trip?

A: Your must-have toiletries and cosmetics. Yoakum is a town of 5,000 people and while we do have a pretty decent H-E-B for the essentials, you’re not going to find a Sephora for many miles if you forget something. Depending on where you’re staying, you might want to bring a swimsuit. Other than that, just your favorite DDR ‘fits, your boots, and all the turquoise you can carry! (Oh yeah, and your credit card.)

If you have any questions that we didn’t answer, you can always reach out to customer service by calling 800-899-3379 or emailing Care@DDRanchwearcom – or ask in the Double D Addiction Facebook group and we’re confident the veterans will chime in with advice!

Y’all have no idea how much of ourselves we pour into curating this event and how EXCITED we are to spend the week with y’all! Only a few more sleeps!
