If you’re not already embracing the beauty of bolos, it’s high time you start. And here’s why.
One of the really fun things about a bolo is that artisans tend to get a little creative and personalized with the slides. Maybe it’s a mosaic inlay horse, maybe it’s a vintage coin, maybe it’s a sterling silver longhorn or – our current obsession – a fully functioning spur with spinning rowels and a big ol’ hunk of turquoise. You do you.
Bolos are an unexpected (and underrated!) accessory. They make a statement whether they’re dainty or dramatic; the compliments are coming either way.
Much like a scarf, there is inherent versatility with a bolo. Slide it high up to the neck for a traditional look. Rock it low and loose more like a necklace pendant. Heck, you can even fashion it as a hatband. It’s like three accessories in one.

I’ve been wearing bolos since forever. Purchased one in Sedona with intentions to give to my grandson one day. I have great silver one from my late father that is cherished. I like the idea of wearing as a hat band.
