GIFT GUIDE: THE PERFECT FIT

It’s difficult – and let’s face it, can be a little bit nerve-racking – to buy clothes for someone else.

Now, admittedly, we’re blessed that our customers are like family, and ipso facto, their family is like… extended family. It’s one of our very favorite things about what we do and this little business we’ve built: y’all know us and we know y’all. Your husbands and parents and kids and besties all know that they can pick up the phone and call DDR, and our amazing customer service team will be able to put them on the right path to something you’re sure to love.

But still… sometimes you just don’t want to play the guessing game on size, am I right? It can be offensive if you guess too large, and annoying (even if flattering) if you guess too small. So, if you’re on the fence, don’t fret – we’ve got you covered with a selection of our current favorites that fit every time.

CASHMERE HAT & GLOVES

This one is top of mind and top of our list right now. True story: all three McMullen sisters are born in December and all three asked for these for their birthday. (Actually, Cheryl and Audrey asked for them for Christmas since that comes first. #holidaybabies) Gals, if only you could feel these things! They’re cashmere, they fit everyone, and they’re McMullen sister-endorsed – what more is there to say?

JEWELRY

This one’s probably obvious, but if being in this business for 30 years has taught us anything, it’s that beautiful southwestern jewelry never goes out of style and only gets better with time. Turquoise, spiny oyster, coral, lapis, Mother of Pearl, or our recent love, petrified wood agate – there’s a stone for every style. It’s something special that can be loved for life – through all ages and size changes.

DDR HOME

Everyone loves their style where they can see it! We’ve got accent pillows to fit every motif, from velvet to leather, beaded, embroidered, and fringed; some fabulous furniture we’ve given the DDR treatment; a wide array of artwork and artifacts that make for awesome décor; and when in doubt, have you ever met anyone who doesn’t love a throw blanket?! The faux fur throw from Banff is super-soft and completely neutral – you absolutely can’t go wrong.

SOCKS & SCARVES

A few years ago, we thought it might be fun to make a signature scarf and sock that commemorates each collection. Boy, have they taken on a life of their own! Our socks and scarves have become some of our most popular sellers with a really strong rate of repeat buyers, so that’s a pretty good indicator that whoever you’re gifting it to is going to love it! (If they don’t already have it, of course.) They’re perfect to stick in a stocking, and a one-size-fits-all in both size and style!

GIFT CARDS

Ok, hear us out: gift cards get a bad rap for being ‘impersonal’, but think about it from the recipient’s POV… Is it better to get a gift you sorta-kinda like because someone *thought* you might like it, or a chance to buy/put towards something you’ve really been wanting for a long time? No-brainer.
