FUN IN FORT WORTH: COWGIRL RISING LIVE!
We’re debuting the new spring collection like never before!
“This collection is special, so we wanted to do something special,” Cheryl said. “Cowgirl Rising is heavily influenced by and strongly incorporates the artwork of Donna Howell-Sickles, an artist I have admired for decades. I was honored she was willing to work together with us, and I am more excited to share this collection than I can even put into words.”
That’s what sparked the idea of presenting it to a live audience.
“I wanted people to be in the presence of my excitement, which I’m sure will be palpable,” Cheryl said. “I want them to see the colors in real life and their reactions in real time. That’s something we lose when presenting online; the delivery is only one-way. So this will be a great experience for us, and I think it will also be for the attendees.”
“And my off-color commentary is just a bonus,” Hedy interjected! “You get to watch all my bloopers and ‘bleeps’ free of charge!” (She promised she’d be on her best behavior, but we’ve all heard that before!)
But that’s just the beginning of the magic we have in store for the evening. Following the line presentation (which, in case it wasn’t clear, will be an exclusive sneak peek the day before everyone else gets to see it!), we will be having a decadent dinner at the Drover Hotel coinciding with an intimate Q&A with the Donna Howell-Sickles herself.
“Donna is full of genuine joy and positivity,” Cheryl said. “It’s remarkable and inspiring, and it doesn’t feel phony at all, which is rare. I think it’s evident in her work, the confidence and joy she conveys via the cowgirls in her paintings have to come from a place of authenticity; you can’t capture that the way she does if you don’t feel it. And she’s been a rockstar in this realm for a long time; she has a lot to share. I think our people will really enjoy getting to know her.”
