FANTASY 4TH OF JULY DESTINATIONS – AND THE ‘FITS THAT FIT THEM

America is turning 250 this year, and this is, without a doubt, going to be one of the most intensely patriotic summers and over-the-top Independence Days we’ve seen in quite some time. And we are so here for it.

Sitting around our meeting table, we started chatting about where would be THE coolest place to spend the Fourth of July on such a monumental anniversary – and then, of course, what we would wear. Here were the top five:

BEST FIREWORKS: Washington, DC

Obviously, no one is going to outdo the nation’s capital when it comes to putting on a Semiquincentennial celebration! It’s likely to be a spectacular unlike anything we’ve ever seen, and that calls for the end-all, be-all jacket from Nu Patriot, the Lady Liberty Biker.

CLASSIC AMERICAN CITY: Cape Cod

It doesn’t get much more quintessential American than Cape Cod. Beautiful shoreline, historic lighthouses, and many of the country’s “firsts” – like celebrating the anniversary and the origin story all at once. The charming quaintness feels like the perfect scene for the Sea to Shining Sea Apron Dress.

MOST FAMILY-FRIENDLY: Pensacola, Florida

This one might feel out of left field for this list, but imagine getting to see the Blue Angels with your kids or grandkids on the most patriotic day of the year! Talk about a core memory. ICONIC AMERICAN LANDSCAPE: Mount Rushmore

A bucket-list destination and one of the most unbelievable man-made monuments, Mount Rushmore is an homage to some of the most influential presidents in our country’s history, men who indelibly shaped the trajectory of our nation. There’s something intensely patriotic about being in one of the oldest and most historically significant cities in the nation – the City of Brotherly Love, the home of the Liberty Bell.
