Born on the Bayou is such a stunning collection, and boy, did our DDR darlings do it justice!

Once per collection, we ask the gals around the office to come to work dressed in their favorite pieces for a fun little photo shoot – we jokingly call it “picture day”, like in elementary school – then we ask them why they chose what they did. Not only is it a fun activity for us in the office, but it’s fun to see how people of different ages, body types, and personalities are styling the collection.

Here’s how we’re rocking the Bayou at headquarters!

    MOLLY ESCAMILLA: Papier Peint Sweater

“I chose this sweater because I love the colors and the pattern! It’s cute, cozy, and has that Western feel without being too over the top. I love that you can dress it up or down, and it’s super wearable for everyday!”

KAT SMITH: Greenwood Jacket & Pant

“I chose the Greenwood set because I love its mix of classic Western style and a little edge. The olive color, unique texture, and standout details make it a cool, distinctive look with lots of personality!”

JULIA GILLAR: Madame Zharoni Top & Skirt

“I knew I wanted this duo from the moment I saw it! The flow of the skirt, the femininity of the top, all the eyelet detail – it all just makes me feel so lovely. Plus, you can mix and match it, like a chambray pearl snap with the skirt or the top with some cutoffs; I can’t wait to experiment more with it!”

MEGAN GARNER: Madame Zharoni Top & Skirt, Crikey Jacket, Killer Croc Belt

“When I tried on the Madame Zharoni, I knew it was perfect for an upcoming first date at the beach – so many compliments every time I wear it!”

    GERALDINE TOBOLA: Bayou Spell Top

“Don’t be scared of the boxy blouse! I don’t usually do the cropped tops, but with some high-waisted jeans, it’s perfect. And I love this sultry print.”

DORIS LOREDO: Marie Lace Dress & Iron Magnolia Vest

“I chose the Marie Lace Dress because, like the description says, the black version can make one feel ‘witchy and mysterious’. Well, I fit that part perfectly! LOL. The Magnolia Beaded Vest was a must for me; I just love the way the magnolias pop on the black beaded background. It was the perfect match with my Marie Lace Dress.”

JILL JACOB: Frenchmen Street Vest, Greenwood Pant

“I really love the Frenchman's Plaid Vest and Bayou Spell Scarf—both are timeless and preppy! This combination works exceptionally well with the Greenwood pants. These gorgeous velvety denim jeans are absolute perfection, and the stud trim makes them easy to dress up or down.”

    MADALYN DWORSKY: Frenchman Street Vest

“I chose the Frenchmen Street Vest because I love the classy feel of it. I’ve been loving green lately and find that this can help accentuate a green button-down top quite easily. Plus, the fit is very flattering, and the material feels so luxurious.”

TIFFANY BELTRAN: Bijoux Shell Top, Emma Skirt

“This outfit makes me feel fierce yet elegant!”

PETRA PRICE: Bijoux Shell Top & Skirt

“I love, love, love the tortoiseshell print on the silk, and the details really make it – the shiny black buttons, the subtle lace. I like that when worn together it looks like a dress, but then you can wear them separately to create different looks.”

SAMANTHA KAISER: Roadside Attraction Top, Fontenot's Best Pant

“The Roadside Attraction Top pairs beautifully with the Fontenot’s Best Pant for an effortlessly stylish and flattering look! The top has a relaxed, comfortable fit, while the pants offer a flattering silhouette that makes them easy to dress up or down. Together, they create a polished yet comfortable outfit that’s perfect for everyday wear, shopping, lunch with friends, or a fun day out!”

    SUSIE EGGEMEYER: Papier Peint Dress

“I love how effortlessly elegant our velvet dresses are, and this print is so uniquely beautiful. The colors are lovely for fall; this would be a perfect Thanksgiving dress. I have to confess, I borrowed the belt for the photoshoot; I don’t own it – but someone should!”

    LILI CARDIFF: Crocodile Tears Tee

“The Crocodile Tears Tee is the perfect layering piece for our so-called ‘fall’ here in Texas!”

    LEXI HOAGLAND: Crocodile Tears Tee

“What I like about the Crocodile Tears Tee is how lightweight it is and how easy it is to layer underneath a jacket, a fun T-shirt, or a button-up!”
