February is finally here – why does January always seem to have 87 days? – and we are embracing it with open arms!

“Unpopular opinion, but I’m actually a big fan of February,” laughed Cheryl. “You know, our family has 8,000 birthdays in December, plus Christmas, and then New Year’s Eve, and this year we had Vegas, too, so December dang near killed us. And then it takes all of January to recover, and you’re making – and breaking – resolutions, so it’s really a time to re-evaluate and reset. Then February comes, and I don’t know, I just get excited about it! It feels like the year is really under way, and it’s like, winking at you that spring is just around the corner.”

Come to think of it, February really is an underrated month. For the shortest month of the year, it sure does pack in a lot of fun. There’s Groundhog Day, which is hilariously nonsensical, but how can you not love Punxsatawney Phil? Then there’s the Super Bowl, and even if you don’t have a dog in the fight, it’s a good excuse to get together, eat guilty pleasure garbage, and see what marketing departments have spent thousands of man hours and millions of dollars working on, 30 seconds at a time. And of course, February’s most famous – Valentine’s Day!

“We’re Valentine’s people,” said Audrey. “I mean, I had four boys, so there was never a lot of the pink, mushy-gushy stuff around Valentine’s at our house, we just always kind of thought of it as a candy holiday. Everyone at the office gets into the spirit of it, too, which makes it fun; DDR is on a lot of ladies’ wish lists, so we get to make a lot of gals really happy on that day. And this year, we finally – FINALLY – got our mini Valentine’s collection pulled off, so we are really leaning into it!”

Y’all come get in the spirit of the season with us at our Cowgirls & Cupids cocktail party! It’ll take place February 5th, from 4-7 p.m. in our Stockyards store. We’ll have some sips and snacks, some super cute V-Day postcards, and of course, you’ll be able to check out the amazing limited-edition Valentine’s apparel! Every purchase of $500 or more will score you a special custom chocolate treat! And if Fort Worth isn’t on your radar, cupid’s also coming to Round Top and Yoakum February 4th – 7th, with fun photo ops, pink toffee available for purchase, and some super-cute glittery pink champagne – all in all just a fun, girly time while you shop!

Kate Weiser chocolate that will be given to customers with purchases of $500 or greater.

And, because it is a day of spoil-you celebration, we’ve got a few ideas! If you’re looking for some hints to give your honey or trying to decide how to treat yo’self this year, check out this year’s curated gift guide:
