“It probably feels like I say this every time, and it is genuine, I do get excited about pretty much every collection,” Cheryl said. “But this one, this one really is special to me in a unique way. Donna Howell-Sickles painted the first piece of ‘real’ art I ever owned, and I have followed the evolution of her artwork over decades. She’s unlike anyone else out there, with what she does and the way she represents women, cowgirls especially. And color. Her work is striking on several levels. Getting to collaborate with her on this collection was an honor, and I can already tell you that some of these pieces are going to end up Heritage collectors, I feel sure.”
This collection, Cowgirl Rising, is full of classic, confident, colorful style. It incorporates a great deal of Donna’s artwork and overall aesthetic, and somehow the confidence she conveys in her cowgirls transcends into the clothing – you simply can’t put on some of these pieces and NOT feel the positivity!
