    As we’ve really evolved the Mummy’s Bundle statement silhouette of necklaces into true Double D style, we’ve gone bigger, bolder, and more creative with our focal pieces.

    One of our recent favorites? Scrimshaw. If you’re unfamiliar with scrimshaw, it’s an age-old art of etching detailed images into backgrounds of bone. Most of the pieces we’ve collected for jewelry making are faux scrimshaw engraved with Western motifs, but the origin of the art form is rooted in the 18th Century with bored sailors looking to pass the endless hours at sea by carving creative scenes into bone, baleen, or ivory.
