Wanted: Prayer Warriors

November 08, 2010 2 min read 11 Comments

My mama is a 'Prayer Warrior'.

She keeps a list with peoples names and scriptures

so she can pray for them during her quiet time.

Some people and places have been on her list for years.

.

Well, this morning when I woke up, I felt a strong need to pray for Beckie Renee'. So strong was the Spirit that I even knew what scripture to pray and knew that I couldn't begin my day until I did. . I've never met Beckie Renee'. Actually, I don't even know Beckie Renee', but last week she posted a message on our Double D Ranch Facebook page and she has been on my heart ever since. Here is what she said, .
"Friends are needed", I am going through chemo right now, and my survivor friends that I met 7 yrs. ago are still with me, one takes me to chemo sits with me through the treatment, then (the) rest of them stop by for a hug, a prayer, we cry together, we laugh like children together. Honestly, I am enriched with friends and I feel I could sing too, because I am so happy that I also have God in my life, and he is awesome. Everyone needs God and friends.
. So, sweet Beckie Renee', I pray this for you:
Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. - Psalm 103: 2-5

Grateful to have my health and be able to ask for divine healing for someone else. I went through this with a dear friend who beat that awful disease. Beckie, if you read this, you can do it, too!

Brandi, thank you for going through all of the “process” to post your reply. God is good. All the time – even if we can’t see or understand it. Your Sista, Cheryl

I come into agreement with you ladies the word says that where two or more are gathered there he is in there midst he is the almighty healer and he has over came every sickness and disease we must put our trust in his hands. So glad there are still women that seek our heavenly father makes me so thankful for my sisters in christ whom I have never met.

LuAnn – I thank you and I’m sure Beckie thanks you as well. You are never too late for prayers and never too late to come before the throne! Thanks for being a part of DDR’s blog!

It touches my heart to hear of the ladies discussing prayer. Thank God that Beckie has Godly friends to help her in time of need. While I’m almost two months behind you all, I too will pray for Beckie…only God knows the work he has for her to do while still on earth. Jesus is the One for me. I pray God’s best for each of you.

Debbie, thank you for noticing. Pointing to Him is my “purpose” – the clothes are just the dressing. Blessings to you and yours!
