The Shisha Mirror Jacket is Double D Ranch's key jacketfor the season and the handwork on it is amazing. We incorporated shisha mirror embroidery and traditional chain-stitch embroidery on a spring-weight canvas.  There are over 350 mirrors on this jacket - all hand done.

Incredible!

Shisha mirror work or alba embroidery is a distinctive handcraft found in the arid areas of India such as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi.  It is usually done in bright, vivid colors.  Shisha means "little glass" in Hindi. If you are interested in seeing this technique, take a look at this demo video to see how shisha mirror work is done. You will definitely appreciate all of the work in this collectible Double D Ranch jacket.

This jacket is one of my all time favorites. Not only are the colors wonderful, but the embroidery and hand work are out of this world. I hate to admit it but I want one in every color!

Meredith, I have Susie working on this, but am not sure what we can find. This is going to be difficult as most likely stores have sold through on this over a year ago. We will keep you posted. Thanks for asking and congratulations on grad school and best of luck in your new career!

So I saw this jacket when it was released and fell in love! I couldn’t afford it at the time (have to love Grad school budgets!). I now have a great job as an Ag Banker and can afford one :). I have been looking everywhere for one now and cannot find an ivory one anywhere. Any suggestions??
