  • Miscellaneous, Natural Tyrone Turquoise Rough Speciment, 20, 412 Carats, 206

Looking to own something truly unique and incredibly special? Look no further.
This natural Tyrone Turquoise Rough is the by far biggest specimen we've ever seen. Weighing in at over 9 pounds (that’s more than some of our dogs weigh!), this big beauty comes from the copper mine operations southwest of Silver City, New Mexico. Not-so-fun fact: Sadly, turquoise mining ceased in the early 1980s when the copper ore processing method changed to crushing and acid washing, destroying the turquoise in the copper ore (i.e. you’re never going to find another one of these!). It’s truly incredible to behold, and a valuable, worthwhile investment piece for the collector.
