Honestly, we outdid ourselves with this extraordinary jacket. Lace plays such an important role in Wash House in our memories, so much of what we dug out of Granny’s trunk full of treasure was lace – from petticoats to wedding dresses – and it was essential that we incorporated it into this collection. But this isn’t ordinary lace, it’s a luxurious sheepskin leather jacket embellished with embroidery that’s so intricate it achieves the aesthetic of actual lace applique. The silhouette has an alluring femininity with puffed shoulders and curved hems, and the studded trim adds a subtle edginess.
