How many times in your life will you have the opportunity to own something of Iris Apfel’s? The inimitable style icon, who passed away in 2024, coined one of our favorite phrases ever: More is more, and less is a bore. She was known for her affinity for color, her signature thick-rimmed glasses, and her opulent and often oversized accessories. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to acquire some of the late legend’s accessories and (though we’ll admit we kept several for ourselves) we are thrilled to get to offer them to you.
This particular piece of Iris Apfel’s style story is an exquisite creation from Navajo artisan Jerome Franklin. The wide, vintage leather strap is adorned with a series of alternating circular scallop-edged conchos and butterfly spaces, all crafted in polished sterling silver and adorned with vibrant turquoise cabochons. The double-mustache buckle boasts four complementing cabochons and completes the piece. It’s a classic for your collection with a one-of-a-kind brag behind it.
Jerome Franklin (Navajo). Active since 1970s.
