A STUNNING STATEMENT BELT FOR THE CONCHO COLLECTOR.

We’ve never met a concho belt we didn’t like, but this bold beauty by late Navajo artisan Darryl Becenti stopped us in our tracks. Surprisingly a contemporary creation, this mesmerizing belt features alternating classic conchos and butterfly spacers that are each intricately embellished with sterling silver stampwork and repousse details, and adorned with a baker’s dozen perfectly polished snake eye cabochons of rare Dry Creek Turquoise. The soft, almost milky, blue turquoise of the stones is simply stunning and so unique. The thin leather strap is finished with a complementing concho buckle in a round framed design, also adorned with Dry Creek Turquoise. A one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.

Darryl Becenti (1957-  2016; Navajo). Active since 1988. Stamp work; bracelets, concho belts; stone sets; Coral.
