Let’s go to the Houston Rodeo! It’s one of the biggest rodeos in the Texas Swing winter indoor rodeo scenes. So you can imagine when we acquired this award buckle, we immediately knew it was a collector’s item. This beautiful vintage belt boasts a lovely trophy-style German silver buckle featuring a single 3-D brass steer. Gorgeous hand-engraving throughout completes the whole piece. Add a touch of rodeo history to your looks.
HISTORY:
Irvine & Jachens was a San Francisco-based company, founded in 1886 by J.C. Irvine and a partner named Jachens, known for making brass and silver conchos, badges, and later, buckles. The company was originally J.C. Irvine Co. and became Irvine & Jachens in 1926. The business was sold in the 1920s to Christian Stegman, whose sons later split the company, with one son, Howard, renaming his part Comstock Silversmiths.
