Prolific pulp novel artist A.R. Mitchell was renowned for his Western art and illustrations. A cowboy himself, he had a knack for capturing the essence of the lifestyle in a colorful and captivating way. We’ve been fans of his work since childhood, and when it came to concepting the Romance & Rustlers collection, we acquired some of his signature prints for the design archives, which we’re now ready to pass on to y’all. This particular painting is entitled “Guarding the Remuda” which, for those not in the know, refers to a herd of horses that have been saddle-broken, from which ranch hands choose their mounts for the day.
All Gicleés are printed on canvas and stretched over a .75" wood frame with wire hanger attached. Sizes are approximate.
