WE KNOW WE SHOULDN’T PLAY FAVORITES, BUT…

This striking caftan is one of the more unique and extraordinary things we’ve made lately. It was inspired, in part, by the uptick of interest in caftans (thanks, White Lotus!) and how donning one can make you feel like a free spirit, yet look like old money, but also by an image from collaborating artist Maura Allen that we found so moving we wanted to truly do it justice – and a caftan was a canvas large enough to do that. Crafted in 100% silk, it has a beautiful sweeping silhouette adorned with one of Maura’s masterpieces, an image she captured of a woman walking through her field in Montana and truly feeling the land. We extended the background print up to the neck and added the detail of a hairpipe collar as a callback to the image itself.
