This jaw-dropping princess-length necklace is a work of art created and signed by the legendary Navajo artisan Kirk Smith (1957-2012). The double strand of desert pearls is adorned with a trio of pendants each featuring a turquoise specimen stone framed with silver rope and repousse details. Because his life was so tragically cut short, pieces by Kirk Smith are highly coveted and collectible; this particular vintage find boasts a provenance from a Park Avenuen (NYC) estate.
Kirk Smith (1957 - 2012; Navajo). Revival style, traditional; cluster work; set stones; casting; appliqué; bracelets; concho belts.
Marks: K S; Kirk Smith (script)
