Navajo jewelry artisan, Rethema Tsose, and her daughter, Penelope Joe (who you may remember from our Grand Canyon catalog) come from a long line of jewelry artisans. Still residing on the Navajo reservation at Arizona/New Mexico border, they continue the practice, creating contemporary southwestern jewelry in the traditional styles that have been passed down to them through generations. This hand-crafted creation is a lovely ten-strand necklace of brown voluta heishi beads interspersed with tiny turquoise slabs and finished with a traditional cord wrap. Double D Ranch is honored to be collaborating with this remarkable duo and pleased to be able to introduce their work to our audience.
