A COLLECTOR CONCHO BELT BY LEGENDARY NAVAJO ARTISAN, THE LATE KIRK SMITH.

The ornate sterling silver frame buckle is affixed to a brown leather belt that features alternating oval conchos and beautiful sterling silver butterfly spacer conchos; all adorned with smooth stones of gorgeous green turquoise. Absolutely stunning statement piece, this is one for the serious collector.

Made in the USA.

Kirk came from a well-known family of silversmiths. He began working with silver as a young boy in the 1960's in his grandfather's workshop. He made jewelry his full-time passion in 1980 when he mentored with his brother-in-law and well-known artist Harry Morgan.

Kirk’s work has won many awards and is known for its investment quality. His aesthetic has remained true to the traditional heavy silverwork of the Navajo and is noteworthy for his use of the best stones and materials.
