Navajo silversmith Rick Martinez is a talented artist practicing his craft on the New Mexico Reservation. His brother Calvin Martinez taught him silver-smithing and he has been prolific for the past twenty years. Martinez works in sterling silver, high-end turquoise, coral, & gemstones. His old pawn-style jewelry was heavily influenced by his cousin, the late Kirk Smith.
