“I’ve never really understood why some people are so harsh on Valentine’s Day,” said Cheryl. “It doesn’t have to be about romantic partner love to get in the spirit of it.”
“Oh, good lord, we’re probably the least romantic people you know!” added Hedy with a laugh. “Three out of the four of us are either divorced or widowed. We certainly couldn’t care less about the ‘couple-y’ aspect of it, believe me. Don’t get me wrong, we love it for all you couples, too, but I don’t feel like that’s ever really been the vibe of Valentine’s in our family. I love gifting a Presley a little something fun every year, I love seeing all the flowers around the office – and candy, there’s always candy! What’s not to love?!”
Granted we love all holidays, any reason to celebrate, or even get in a theme, actually. We gift to each other, to Nana, to our daughters and daughters-in-law, definitely to our grandbabies, sometimes to our friends… and we try to find little ways to express our love and gratitude to our employees. What can we say, we love love!
If you also have a celebratory spirit and are looking to surprise someone with something out of the ordinary – dare we say, extraordinary – that they’re SURE to love, check out this gift guide we composed from literally asking around the office what they are planning to wear, asking for, or hoping to receive from their loved ones this VDay.
Well, wouldn’t ya know it – a collection called ROMANCE & Rustlers has a whole slew of styles suited for just this occasion. Maybe you’re hitting the town with your honey, maybe your grabbing drinks with your gals – Valentine’s falls on a Friday this year, so the opportunities are endless for getting all rigged up in red. Better grab one of the office and one for after hours!
Do we even need to say it? Every ad agency in America is already on a mission to sell you some jewelry this month. We say ditch the diamond hard-sell and do something true to you. From Mummy’s to Oscars to charming little charms, we’ve compiled some pieces that’ll have your heart.
If you’re kicking yourself for not snagging something during the sale, or maybe what you’re eyeing wasn’t marked down, Valentine’s Day is as good a reason as any to treat yourself or drop some heavy hints to your honey. From hot pink Highway Honeys to sizzling red Long Tall Sallys, you’re gonna be a smokeshow!
Bring on the bags and belts! First of all, bags are kind of the GOAT of gifting – they are practical, personal, and they always fit! From bucket bags to bamboo-handled beauties, we’ve got some wishlist winners. And belts? A no-brainer. A great statement belt can transform a gal’s whole wardrobe with a single purchase.
Looking for something small to show a little sweet sentiment? We’ve got a few unique (and some unisex) ideas for gift-giving that won’t break the bank. Socks, scents, snazzy baseball caps – think of it like a stocking stuffer, but from cupid!
