Ring, Turquoise, Single Stone, Cheyenne Mine, Hallmark, 692
A STUNNING STATEMENT RING WITH AN INTERESTING BACKSTORY.
Jock Favour, the silversmith behind this stunning ring, is also an archaeologist so all of his work replicates the style as well as the process of early Navajo work. His creations feature all natural stones that he mines and sets in the traditional manner. This statement-sized stone is a gorgeous green Cheyenne Mine turquoise with heavy brown matrix, set in a simple bezel of silver ingot accented with repousse and stampwork which continues around the entire band. One-of-a-kind, definitely a collector.
Jock Favour (?-; Anglo). Active since 1970s. Classic, hand-wrought; ingot; stamp and file work; set stones.
