    FOR THE TRUE HORSE LOVER

The Simplicio family has long been revered for their remarkable jewelry, and this stunning piece by Mike Simplicio is a classic example of his signature style. The focal point is a horse head in profile, crafted inlay style with brown shell and mother of pearl with silver accents.

Note: This ring has been upcycled from a lost earring.  The maker’s hallmark was present but now partially covered by the addition of the ring band.

Mike Simplicio (1937 - 1976; Zuni). Active 1950s - 1970s. Nugget work; appliqué. The late Mike Simplicio shared marks with his wife Sarah Simplicio. Son of Dan Simplicio.
