Pin, Cluster, Turquoise, Quatrefoil, Vintage '50s, 479
This is more than just your average vintage pin.
Confirmed by his daughter, Lorraine Waatsa, to be the work of renowned Zuni artisan Duane Quam, this huge (4.5”!) vintage pin dates back to the 1940s-50s; it is a unique openwork quatrefoil design incorporating one center snake eye stone and several small teardrop stones of baby blue turquoise, raised sterling silver ovals, half moons, drops, and twist wire accents. Eye-catching, breathtaking -- an absolute collector’s piece.
