Necklace, Squash Blossom, Inlay, Sunface, Vintage, 1202
EVERYBODY NEEDS A STATEMENT SQUASH, AND IF YOU CAN FIND ONE THAT STANDS OUT FROM THE REST -- EVEN BETTER!
This stunning vintage squash blossom necklace strays from your typical turquoise, featuring crisp artistic interpretations of the classic Zuni sunface crafted from turquoise, mother of pearl, coral, and black onyx set in sterling silver channel style inlay. A cultural figure of the Pueblo people, the sunface represents Father Sun and the warmth and growth he brings to the people and their agriculture. This statement squash features a dozen of the sunface “blossoms” affixed to a double-strand of sterling silver desert pearls, anchored by a large black-and-white naja that features an additional two sunface designs. Absolutely beautiful, eye-catching piece.
