This remarkable reproduction of a 1900s Zia Storage Jar was hand-crafted in clay by renowned reproduction pottery artist Tonya Lamb. The creation mimics the traditional shape and details of the originals and is adorned by images and designs done in pigment. A stunning, unique collector’s item by a highly collectible and sought-after artisan.
Tonya Norton Lamb is a contemporary American artisan rooted in rural Western Kansas. Born into a family of artists, much of Tonya’s upbringing revolved around exploration, art education, and archaeological digs, introducing her to museums throughout the West, bronze foundries, and private collections of Pueblo pottery, things that would later influence her remarkable reproductions. After raising her two children and three stepchildren, Tonya once again returned to her love of the craft, particularly working with clay – which she says “keeps a person extremely grounded” – and recreating Southwest style pottery in the studio she’s built on her Registered Angus ranch.
