Necklace, Natural Stone, Mother Of Pearl, Fetish, Birds, Vintage, 798

Size Guide
Native Americans, historically, believe fetishes held magical powers and protection from problems of mind and body.

To the Zuni People, the bird represents unity, community, and freedom. This vintage triple-strand bird fetish necklace represents those desired characteristics in spades. three strands of birds are hand-carved from mother of pearl shell and separated by tiny shell heishi.  The maker left her mark with four coral beads at the hand-whipped cord closure.

A very elegant necklace - perfect for the Southwest collector.
